Childhood
Immunizations - Two Year Old Children
Each year an annual immunization survey
of two-year-old children born in Florida is conducted to determine
if children are being immunized on schedule and to measure
immunization levels based on high-risk maternal factors. The
random sample survey provides estimated immunization levels for 20
selected counties and the state.
-
The charts shown below
reflect the survey results for the basic 4/3/1 (four DTaP, three
polio, and one MMR) series of vaccines
-
According to the annual survey of immunization levels in
two-year-old children, Pinellas County’s immunization levels have
improved significantly since 2001 following a sharp drop off from
the record high established in 2000. The 2006 level, at
90.3%, is only fractionally below the 2000 high.
- It is important to
note, however, that because this is a survey, the estimated
percentage for Pinellas County, or any county,
may vary
significantly from the actual percentage due to sampling and
non-sampling errors. The 95% confidence intervals
for Pinellas
County, the state of Florida and selected comparative counties on
the 2006 survey are shown below.
